The Buran Ghati trek is one of its kind of trek best suited for an intermediate-level trekker. This trek offers almost everything one can demand from a Himalayan trek. What else do you expect from a single trek? It is considered to be a perfect Himalayan trek. During the pre-monsoon months of May and June, most part of the trek is covered with snow and you can enjoy some of the best snow slides after the descend. While after post-monsoon, in the month of September and October you can enjoy the true beauty with a variety of variations among the landscapes. The lush green valley with dozens of small beautiful wildflowers blooming across the trek. Overall Buran is a must to do trek for a passionate trekker and a mountain lover.

Itinerary

Max. Elevation of the day- Janglik Village (9200 feet/2805m) Route Detail- Board into your respective vehicles for the beautiful journey. The route goes through Rohru, Chirgaon and finally ends in Janglikh village. You will get to see the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh, rivers, old homes, classic architecture, and apple orchards if you go in apple season. After Chirgaon (the last main market of the route) the road is very bad. The last stretch is along Pabbar river. The whole journey will take around 8-9 hours. Highlight of the day- Janglik Village Accommodation- Homestay Remark- As the whole distance is t be covered by car in mountains so those who has motion sickness please take their respective tablets. Janglikh is small village, finish your last minute shoppin in Shimla or Chirgaon.
Max. Elevation of the day - Dyara Thach (11000 feet/3354m) Route Detail - The initial stretch of the trek starts with the gradual climb for about 30 min. then we arrive at a spot from where you can have a panoramic view of the village and the river. After that, the trails will go through the dense forest with some steep ascents. You’ll reach a small meadow named simar thach having a tea stall and few shepherd huts. The whole route is very photogenic. The path goes in and comes out from the forests. Finally, the valley opens into dreamland with a very wide green meadow and a complete view of Pabbar Valley. This is our destination, Dyara Thach. Overnight stay in tents. Highlight of the day - Dyara Thach Accommodation - Tents
Max. Elevation of the day- Litham (11800 feet/3596m) Route Detail- The route starts with a gradual ascent from the campsite for about 40 mins then slowly gets down in the jungle after crossing a small stream and with a small ascend we reach a shepherd spot from where we can locate our destination i.e. Litham, gradually ascend for about 2 hours will take you to the stream near the campsite. From here the view of Chandernahan waterfall is very clear. After crossing the chilled stream we’ll reach our campsite. Overnight stay at camps. Highlight of the day- Chandernahan Waterfall Accommodation- Tents Remark- Be very careful with your hydration and nutrition.
Max. Elevation of the day- Chandernahan Lake (13,850 ft./4,230 Mts.) Route Detail- Today’s day will be spent on the Chandernahan lake excursion. The lake itself is not very beautiful but the hike till the lake is very beautiful. We’ll have to cross the stream again and then gradual ascent for about an hour followed by a steep ascent for about 1-1.5 hrs. The trail is full of a variety of small wildflowers. till the top of the waterfall. The view from here is amazing. The lake is just 15 minutes away from that point. The local guide will perform pooja as this lake has very religious importance for the peoples of Janglikh village. Enjoy the surroundings and return back to the camp for hot lunch. Highlight of the day- View from the top Accommodation- Tents Remark-Reach the Chandernahan lake and return back on time as the weather turns bad there after 1 pm.
Max. Elevation of the day- Dhunda Base Camp (13,365 ft/4,074 m) Route Detail- The initial part of the trail is a gradual ascend along the Pabbar river till the ridge from where you’ll have to take a left turn from this point the trail to Gunas pass is very clear. After that the final steep section for about 45 mins to reach dhuda base. The Buran pass and the trail to the pass is clearly visible from the campsite. The camp is surrounded by mountains from all sides. Today you’ll have an early diner as tomorrow you’ll have to start the day in the night. Highlight of the day- You can see the pass from the base camp Accommodation- Tents Remark- This will be the highest campsite of the trek. Sleep Early as you have to start the day early tomorrow.
Max. Elevation of the day- Today will be your toughest day of the trek. Waking up early in the night starting your trek with the head torches on. The journey till the pass is a steep walk for about 2 hours through the boulders. You’ll feel the thin air today. The Kinnaur Kailash view from the pass is breath-taking. The most adventurous part of the trek is descending from the pass. It’s a steep fall for about 100 mts. till the snowfield below. Proper use of technical equipment will be needed for his process of lowering down. After this, there will be series of descends till the river. Then the trail enters into the jungle. In another 1.5 hour, you’ll reach the campsite. The campsite today is very beautiful. Rest and relax at a lower altitude as today was the most tiring day. Highlight of the day- Buran Pass Accommodation- Tents Remark- This will be the longest and toughest day of the trek
Max. Elevation of the day- Munirang (11,800 ft/3,597 m) Route Detail- The last day of the trek is also nice. You’ll be going through dense and green forest with a variety of trees. There is also a beautiful waterfall in between, you can refill the fresh mountain water. The trail also have some old traditional style storage houses and some apple orchards. Finally the trek ends in Brua village, a beautiful settlements with a nice old temple built with traditional architectural style. Board into your respective vehicles and reach Shimla by night Highlight of the day- Brua village Remark- Reach the Brua village early so that you reach Shimla on time.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If it becomes necessary to cancel your trip, you must notify Advait Outdoors immediately in writing. Once we receive your notice, the cancellation will take effect.

Please note that the following charges will apply to cancellation:

  • Cancellation up to 45 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 5% deduction of the total amount of the trip OR 100% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
  • Cancellation between 45 to 30 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 25% deduction of the total amount of the Trip OR 80% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
  • Cancellation between 30 to 15 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 50% deduction of the total amount of the Trip OR 60% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
  • Less than 15 days of departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) No monetary refund OR 40% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).

In the rare event of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) cancellation from our side, we’ll follow the below mentioned policy: We almost never cancel our Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.). But there are many variables beyond our control like {weather condition,landslides, road condition and any other “force measure condition” or unexpected political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders, unexpected global health
issues} due to which we have to cancel the Trip (Trek/Expedition, etc.) under such circumstances Advait Outdoors will refund 50% of the total amount of the trip or issue a voucher (valid for one year) for the full amount of your Trip (Trek/Expedition, etc.).

Note-: All cancellation refunds will be processed back to the bank account or the credit card account from which the Trip fee has been paid
