Overview
Situated in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, Kalindi Khal pass is ranked as the most challenging trek in India right now. The trek connects Gangotri to Badrinath, both of which are considered as one of the holiest pilgrimage locations of Uttarakhand ensues a spiritual aspect at the beginning and finishing of the trek. The journey across Kalindi Khal pass takes you from the banks of the river Bhagirathi to Alaknanda both which meet at Devprayag to form the river Ganga. This rich and abundant beauty hidden in the Garhwal Himalayas presents an array of landscapes and terrain taking you through thick forests of birch and oak into open grasslands and wide meadows and finally taking you to a whooping altitude of 5950 meters. This trek requires a lot of physical and mental fitness along with experience of trekking in the himalayas. Apart from physical fitness, learning the techniques of ascending, descending and traversing along Sweta glacier will be taught during the course of the trek to help summit the pass. Enroute Kalindi Khal pass you will come across majestic peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas like Mt. Kamet(7756m), Mana(7272m), Abi Gamin(7355m), Bhagirathi group(6856m), Kedar Dome(6808m), Chandra Parvat(6728m), Meru(6630m), Shivling(6543m), Nilkanth(6506m) and Avalanche peak(6413m) looking upon you and guiding you throughout the trek. This complete adventure package of a trek gives you an opportunity to test one’s limits while making unforgettable experiences.
Weather on Kalindi Khal Expedition
The weather on the Kalindi Khal trek in the Indian Himalayas can vary depending on the season.
In the summer months of May to June, the weather is generally clear and warm during the day, but can get cold at night. Monsoon season starts from July to August end, during this time heavy rain and landslides may occur.
In the winter months of December to February, the weather can be very cold, with heavy snowfall and icy conditions. This trek is generally closed during winter season.
It’s always best to check the current weather conditions before embarking on any trek, and to be prepared for a range of weather conditions.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If it becomes necessary to cancel your trip, you must notify Advait Outdoors immediately in writing. Once we receive your notice, the cancellation will take effect.
Please note that the following charges will apply to cancellation:
- Cancellation up to 45 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 5% deduction of the total amount of the trip OR 100% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
- Cancellation between 45 to 30 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 25% deduction of the total amount of the Trip OR 80% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
- Cancellation between 30 to 15 days prior to the departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) 50% deduction of the total amount of the Trip OR 60% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
- Less than 15 days of departure date of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) No monetary refund OR 40% Trip fee back as an AdvaitOutdoors voucher (valid for one year).
In the rare event of the Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.) cancellation from our side, we’ll follow the below mentioned policy: We almost never cancel our Trip (Trek/Expedition etc.). But there are many variables beyond our control like {weather condition,landslides, road condition and any other “force measure condition” or unexpected political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders, unexpected global health
issues} due to which we have to cancel the Trip (Trek/Expedition, etc.) under such circumstances Advait Outdoors will refund 50% of the total amount of the trip or issue a voucher (valid for one year) for the full amount of your Trip (Trek/Expedition, etc.).
Note-: All cancellation refunds will be processed back to the bank account or the credit card account from which the Trip fee has been paid
